Venezuela Relief Support
In the wake of the devastating earthquakes in Venezuela, thousands of families are facing unimaginable loss and hardship. More than 1,450 people have died, thousands have been injured, and many remain missing as search and rescue efforts continue. Countless children have been left without parents, and families have lost everything.
As a church community and members of God's global church, we have the opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus during this time of great need. We invite you to join us in praying for the people of Venezuela, especially for those who are grieving, those still awaiting rescue, and the many organizations serving on the front lines. Please also pray for the body of Christ in Venezuela, that God would strengthen and sustain them and use them to bring the hope and love of Christ to those who are suffering.
As a church family, we will be responding in two practical ways:
First, we invite you to consider making a financial donation to support Hogar Bambi, a trusted organization that provides protection, care, shelter, food, and long-term support for children orphaned by this tragedy. You can do so by selecting "Venezuela Relief" on our online giving page.
Second, this Sunday, Jonathan and Stephanie Vazquez, a beloved family from our church who are originally from Venezuela, will be preparing and selling traditional Venezuelan cuisine in the portico between services. We invite you to stop by, enjoy some delicious food, and support this relief effort with a donation. All proceeds from the food sales will be donated to “Dividendo Voluntario" and will be used to provide direct assistance to families who have lost their homes, belongings and medical supplies because of the earthquake. If you are unable to attend, you can also give online through Calvary's giving page by selecting "Venezuela Relief."
Together, through prayer, generosity, and compassionate action, we can bring hope to those who are suffering and demonstrate the love of Christ in tangible ways.
