2025 Year End Giving Update

Calvary Family,
Thank you so much for your generous financial support throughout 2025. Our staff counts it a true privilege to faithfully steward the gifts you so graciously provide. We are deeply grateful for your partnership through our Annual Operating Budget.

I am very pleased to share with you all that we have met our 2025 Giving Target. At the beginning of 2025 we set out to bring in $1,816,980 in Gift Donations. Our most current calculations, as of 12/31/2025, show that the total Gift Donations reached $1,850,446.91! Praise the Lord! Thank you so much for your incredible love and generosity. 

Because of your generosity, our Annual Operating Budget enables us to care for the Calvary family, serve our surrounding community, and support the work of the gospel around the world. Your faithful giving makes ministry possible and allows us to live out our shared calling.

Below, you’ll see some of the ways our 2025 Operating Budget helped advance our Calvary vision: to receive, practice, and share the love of Jesus Christ.

Ministry Spotlights

A window into how our Operating Budget was used this year.

Children’s Ministry

  • Opening 3 new classrooms after the Field School moved out and creating the children’s commons in the children’s area!

  • Hiring a new children’s assistant to help with logistics of children’s ministry!

  • Welcoming our biggest group of campers and volunteers to Game On!

  • Completing our first full cycle of our midweek curriculum and starting the cycle again with 100 weekly kids!

Students Ministries

  • Over 60 students came to our annual Fall Retreat to Expeditions Unlimited! 

  • We’ve had strong and growing attendance for Sunday school, Sunday night High School Youth Group, and Wednesday night Middle School Youth Group.

  • We’re deepening our connection and involvement with Young Life on Thursday nights, and exploring ways for Calvary to continue to bless and care for the wider community of students in Oak Park.

Women’s Ministry

  • We have 158 women attending our weekly bible studies.

  • We wrote and printed our own Fall Bible Study Curriculum

  • Over 150 women attended our women’s conference this Fall.

Men’s Ministry

  • Over 100 men attended our men’s conference in February. Our guest speaker was Brian Dye, who focused on how we can make disciples in our everyday lives.

  • We had another fun “March Madness Chili Cookoff” for our third consecutive year.

  • We had a great fall dinner and discussion on intentional fatherhood, with over 50 men in attendance, and lots of wisdom shared from some spiritual fathers in our congregation.

  • We’re currently gearing up for our men’s retreat at the end of January!

  • We hosted another edition of Missions Month, with guest preachers and teachers helping us think about a church that moves with God and His mission to restore the world.

  • We were able to continually and faithfully support financially our missionaries

  • We had almost 200 people attending our “All Church Mission’s Dinner.”

  • We hosted 3 great worship nights

  • More and More young people are engaged in leading.

  • We hosted Jon Guerra, Sandra McCracken, The Porter’s Gate, and Delaney Young.

  • Calvary Choir is making a comeback.

  • We are hosting Andrew Peterson coming in 2026.

Use of Surplus from Previous Years

We have had surplus for many years in a row. Here are some of the ways we have Used surplus funds.

  • Residency Program for 2023 - 2025 ($45k)

  • Sanctuary plaster repair, paint, and new carpet ($58k)

  • New flooring in Dining, Parlor, and Heritage Rooms ($40k)

  • New Audio & Visual in Dining, Parlor, and Heritage Rooms ($67k)

  • New HVAC Control System ($80k)

  • 2024 HVAC Repairs ($28k) 

  • New concrete in Lake St entrance, East Lot, and West Lot ramp ($90k)

  • Exterior Plumbing in West Lot ($38k)

  • Necessary exterior Tuckpointing ($56k)

  • All new Network cables, APs, and infrastructure ($25k)

  • Verkada Security and Access System ($16k)

  • All Building and Grounds Audits & HVAC audit ($36k)

  • New carpet in many rooms ($16k)
