Sunday, June 7 is our annual Block Party and a day when we, at Calvary Memorial Church, celebrate the season of Pentecost—the moment when the Holy Spirit descended on the early believers and ignited the birth of the global Church. Pentecost was marked by divine power, radical unity, and bold mission as people from every nation heard the gospel in their own language and the Church moved outward into the world with Spirit-filled purpose.

In that same spirit of outward movement, Calvary will gather on June 7 from 4:30–8:30pm for our annual Block Party as part of our liturgical rhythm of hospitality and mission. This is more than just a fun church event; it is an intentional expression of what it means to be a ‘sent people’ into our community with the love of Christ.

Our vision is simple: to create space where our community truly sees and experiences the love of Christ through us. Whether someone comes curious about faith or simply looking for a safe and joyful summer evening, we want them to experience the hospitality of Christ through us.

We ask you to join us from now until Pentecost—in your small groups, friend circles, and homes—in praying for this day and asking the Spirit how you might take steps of faith to invite and welcome others. Let’s come together—ready to celebrate Pentecost, love our neighbors, and extend the welcome of Jesus.

We can’t wait to see you there.
