Calvary Students

Weekly Gatherings

Sunday Mornings at 9am

Students are being taught the value of quiet time devotions by reading through an entire gospel. Last ministry cycle we completed John’s gospel, and now we have begun in Matthew, reading one chapter each week.

Corresponding questions are provided, engaging their critical thinking skills and interpretive abilities. The aim of this exercise is to instill in students the desire to spend time alone with the Lord Jesus, learning how to be accountable for their own walk with Christ.

Wednesday Nights at 6pm

Students are being taught the value of following Jesus in community. The emphasis is on interpersonal development, whereby students are placed in mixed-gendered small groups for the sake of learning how to engage their brothers and sisters in Christ apart from gender segregation.

The biblical teaching is aimed at cultivating their self-understanding as a community of light, attracting outside students into our fellowship through the love we have for one another (John 13:34-35). Group encouragement and relational development are the pillars of this gathering.

Additional Events

First Friday

Students are invited to fellowship at Calvary for gaming activities or movie nights.

The aim of Friday events is to encourage students to get more familiar with one another through hang outs and fun time.

Community Youth Group

CYG, is an unofficial collaboration between 5 local churches, OPRF Young Life and Sonlife. Our vision is to drop our brands and create space for up to 200 students to gather. We will meet twice this semester: October 28 and December 9.
