Natural Disasters in North Africa

Dear friends at Calvary Memorial Church!

Regards in the name of Jesus from the Arab world and a big hug from our family, Allan, Patricia, Priscilla, and Jose Pablo Matamoros, serving in the Muslim World!

What an incredible journey we have had over the last five years, first attending your Missions Month in 2018 as a speaker and then having the privilege of hosting different teams from the church serving and exploring together the Middle East, the Holy Land, and the North African region over the past couple of years.

Having Manfred, Johnny, Gerald, Greg, and other leaders among us has been a gift for me and for our local pastors and missionaries in this part of the world.  I am also eager to be with the church in November during Missions Month as I will have the blessing of sharing God’s word with you this year.

Right now, I also come to you asking for your prayers. As you probably know, on  Sunday, the 10th of September, a massive cyclone killed and destroyed the lives of at least  11000 Libyans, and on Monday, the 11th of September, a massive earthquake killed close to 5,000 Moroccans in the South of the country.

It's been a terrible week in the North African region!  Let's pray for the victims' families and for the good news of Christ that is being shared with them - with words and practical deeds - to bring consolation and restoration in Christ's name!

Christians and missionaries working in North Africa are helping fellow believers, brothers, and sisters in their Muslim neighborhoods who are facing this critical moment!

If you want to join us with your prayers or with your financial generosity, please talk with Pastor Manfred Karolyi about it. He can provide you with ways in which you can participate.

Counting on your intercession in this difficult hour for the thousand of lives wounded by these natural disasters in a very needed area of the world without the Gospel of Jesus, your brother,

Allan E. Matamoros
