Bearing Burdens and Encouraging Each Other

The Special Needs Support Group strives to engage with God as we walk together and encourage one another in lives touched by special needs. In a relaxed atmosphere, we unpack this life and God’s role in it; celebrating victories and answers to prayer, sharing ways we see God working, looking for wisdom, and bearing each other’s burdens. The structure is conversational, with shared word of encouragement and/or Scripture, prayer, and occasional guest speakers.

2nd Sundays | 10:45-12 PM | Calvary’s Heritage Room

Ideas?
We also want to hear from individuals and/or families on ways they can better be served in the life of the church and be able to access it's ministries with as little of restriction as possible.

Who?
The group is intended for a variety of different people including: parents of a child with special needs | adults affected by disability themselves | adult siblings of a person with special need. Professionals in a related field such as: medical professional | social worker | speech, occupational, or physical therapist | special education teachers and aides | counselors, etc.

As well as anyone who is interested in supporting families, being a resource or anyone who may be interested in supporting and ministering in the emerging disability ministry at Calvary Memorial Church.

Buddy

Program!

As we strive to meet the needs of Calvary’s children with special needs we recognize that Special Needs Buddies can play an invaluable role. These individuals provide assistance, support, and friendship to the children they serve, so the child’s entire family may participate fully as members of the church body. Does your child have special needs? Please tell us more about your child now by filling out an “Individualized Worship Plan” so we can find a way to best support you on Sunday mornings.
