Share your love of reading with your church community. The Calvary Book Club meets the 3rd Monday of the month to discuss a book that both intellectually stimulates and challenges our faith. Attend every month or jump in when a particular book grabs your attention.

Calvary Book Club's next meeting is Monday, February 17 at 7pm in the Heritage Room.

In honor of Black History Month, our next book will be Beloved by Toni Morrison, one of the most renowned and awarded American fiction authors of the late 20th century. Morrison just passed away last year, and now is a great time to get acquainted with her work if you haven’t already. She won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1993. Beloved is widely regarded to be one of her best and most powerful works. It tells the story of a former slave mother and young daughter in the aftermath of the American Civil War.

Content warning: this story contains potentially disturbing references to violence and abuse.

Please note that the Calvary Book Club will not meet in January 2020 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
