JONI and FRIENDS WORKSHOP

This Sunday, September 29, is the 5th Sunday of the month. In lieu of our traditional 5th Sunday Family Worship, we will be hosting a Joni and Friends workshop for our students. The topic of this workshop will be "We Are All Created Unique." The workshop will be held during both our 9AM and 10:45AM services.

Students in grades PK through 5th grade should be checked in—at the computers in the Children's lobby— and then taken into the Sanctuary for worship. All students will be dismissed to the workshop during the Children's Blessing.

Our nurseries and classes will be open as usual for children ages 0-3 years.

CALVARYED CORE CLASS

Our next four week Calvary Core class, Devotion: Wisdom for Spiritual Growth will begin on Sunday evening, October 6. In this four week class we will explore how Christians grow and are formed into Christ-likeness.

We know that it is often a challenge to get out of the house in the evenings. To help with this, we will enjoy a casual family pizza dinner from 5 - 5:30PM. Children in attendance will eat with their parents. Childcare will be available for the teaching time: 5:30 - 7PM.

Small Groups are encouraged to attend this class together.

Note: There is still one more session of our "Scripture: Wisdom From God's Word" class this coming Wednesday, October 2.

CALVARYED TALKS

"Reading Good Books and Living the Good Life"
Wednesday October 16 | 7PM

How does reading great books make us better people? Why is it important for us to cultivate a habit of reading as we seek to grow as a person and grow in our faith? How do books help us confront some of the most difficult and complex situations we find in our world? Join us for our inaugural Calvary Talks event with special guest and author Karen Swallow Prior. This event is open to the public and will be a great event for church attenders as well as guests from the community. The session will begin with a talk from Dr. Prior, which will be followed by a Q&A discussion on reading and cultivating virtuous lives.
