Classes resume

All Calvary Kids and Calvary Students classes will resume this Sunday, August 4. This is our move up Sunday and students will join the class that corresponds to the school grade that they will be in this fall. We will continue the practice of our children’s blessing and dismissal from the worship service for students in third through fifth grade.

Dinner For 8

If you have yet to participate in Dinner for 8 this summer, don't worry, we have one more date—Friday, August 16 at 7PM.

We have our host homes for this final evening of dinners and now we want to fill the tables at each of these homes. Sign up online to attend one of these August 16 gatherings.

Dinner for 8 provides a friendly, informal means for Calvary members and attenders to meet one another, enjoy a delicious meal, and have a sweet time of fellowship. The hope is for you to meet new people across the Calvary family. This is not a gourmet dinner club, but an opportunity to strengthen and deepen the relationships between those who attend Calvary.

The dinner groups will be comprised of members from any of the cities, towns, and villages in which those attending Calvary reside and will not be isolated geographical groups.

SAVE THE DATE—Blockparty

As summer winds down and the school year kicks off, join us in the West Parking Lot as we take advantage of the beautiful weather and come together for a favorite Oak Park tradition—The Block Party! There will be great food, entertainment, and activities for all ages. You won't want to miss our Carnival celebration.

As with all great Block Parties—the more, the merrier. Invite your friends and neighbors to join you for this free event.

Our Tested Texts theme for 2019 is “Hope.” As Pastor Gerald pointed out in his “Created to Need” series, God has not yet met all of our needs—but He has given us hope. Visit our Tested Texts webpage to download the songs, view the lyrics videos, or grab the chord charts for the songs in this volume.

Help us make our nurseries and classrooms welcoming and safe spaces that support the growth and discipleship of our children, by serving alongside our Calvary Kids leaders. Join this dynamic team by volunteering to serve Sunday mornings in one of our nurseries or Calvary Kids classes, or Wednesday evenings during our Awana program. Learn more about serving in Calvary Kids and complete our volunteer sign up through the link below.

Please note, parents who regularly use our Children’s Ministry (infants – 5th grade) are asked to serve 12 times a year.
