In Money We Trust?

Putting Our Faith Where It Belongs

A Series on Faith and Our Finances

Join us this fall for a five week series that will be looking at the relationship between our faith and our finances.

Our culture has a lot of things to say about money—some explicit, some implicit; some positive, some negative. Indeed, it is probably accurate to say that money makes the world go around. And as Christians, we are not immune to money, or somehow stand above it. We need it, just like everyone else in order to pay for our housing, our clothing, our transportation, our food.

For Christians, navigating our relationship with money can be such a tricky thing, precisely because we depend upon it so much. How do we live a life of genuine dependence on God, while also living in a real world that depends upon money?

Our new sermon series will be entitled, “In Money We Trust?—Putting our Faith Where It Belongs.” Ultimately we will see that even though money is important, it is not ultimate. It can be used for good, but it is not itself the greatest good.

If you are a Christian and you find yourself prone to trust more in your money than God, this sermon series is for you. And if you are not a Christian, but you have wondered what Jesus and the Bible has to say about money, or perhaps you have sensed how tenuous worldly wealth can be, come join us and hear how God invites us to put our faith, not in finances, but in God.
