Volunteer Opportunities
The Welcome Team aims to show hospitality to all who come in our doors, especially those who have no other church connections. Our service is unto the Lord, as we offer our hearts that are prepared to serve others.
Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.

Greeters
Serving Responsibilities
- Joyfully greet people - offer a warm smile, firm handshake, and an encouraging word.
- Help eliminate awkwardness (they may be wondering: am I following their rules?, am I dressed appropriately, can I find where to go without asking?)
- Look for people unsure of where to go and offer to help.
- Help guests find what they’re looking for by walking them to areas and introducing them to the next person (think tour guide, not travel agent).
Serving Commitment
- Two Greeters are needed for each service, per entrance: Portico, Narthex, East doors
- A greeter ideally serves 2 times per month, or more (Saturday for one service, or Sundays for both services)
- Connect and pray with Welcome Team 25 minutes before service begins
- Saturdays at 4:35pm
- Sundays at 8:35am
- Greeters are in their location 15 minutes before service

Legacy Room Hosts
Serving Responsibilities
- Primarily seek out our guests with a warm smile and conversation
- Converse with them as deep as they’re willing to go. (e.g. Where are you from?, What brought you to Calvary today?, Is there anything you would like to know?, Would you like to get more plugged in?, etc.)
- Hosts will usually serve behind the counter and help serve people.
- Look for people unsure of where to go and offer to help
- Help guests find what they’re looking for by walking them to areas and introducing them to the next person.
Serving Commitment
- Serve ideally 2 or more times per month (Saturday for one service, or Sundays for both services)
- Connect and pray with Welcome Team 25 minutes before service begins
- Saturdays at 4:35pm (optional, since you serve after each service)
- Sundays at 8:35am (optional, since you serve after each service)
- Be in Legacy Room for 15 minutes after service
- Leave service a few minutes early so you are prepared to serve.

Welcome Desk Workers
Serving Responsibilities
- You serve a key ministry of sharing information, or helping people find information
- Be familiar with general information about regular, entry ministries.
- If you’re uncertain, or the request is beyond entry level, use a Contact Card
- Provide each new guest with a gift
- Reach out to people unsure of where to go and offer to help
Serving Commitment
- Serve ideally 2 times per month, or more (one service per weekend)
- Connect and pray with Welcome Team 25 minutes before service begins
- Saturdays at 4:35pm to pray with Welcome Team
- Sundays (9am service) at 8:35am to pray with Welcome Team
- Sundays (10:30am service - pray on your own!)
- Portico Welcome Desk - Be at Welcome Desk for 15 minutes before the service, throughout the service, and 10 minutes after the service.
- Lake Street Entrance Welcome Desk - Be at Welcome Desk for 15 minutes before the service and 10 minutes after the service. Leave service a few minutes early so you are prepared to serve.

Are you a techy? We need people to operate basic audio and video production. Training is provided; no experience is necessary. There are also several opportunities to join our musicians. If you're interested, contact Pastor Caleb.
