Men's Costa Rica Trip > JAN 26 - FEB 3, 2007

A group of Calvary Memorial Church men will again be heading to Costa Rica to work at a camp/conference center obtained by International Teams Latin America in partnership with Sonlife Ministries, for the purpose of Christian leadership training in Latin America. Calvary missionary, Mark Edwards is a leader at the center, along with Brian Claus, and the McQueray's. Visit their website here.

A number of us were involved in pouring new sidewalks for the campus. Here is thefinishing stage called "floating" and "edging" the concrete.

Good thing it is Sunday. A much needed day of rest! We go to church, and also some of us visit a religious parade in San Isidro.

Costa Rica Mountain View Our first full work day! One project involved digging a new trench for a septic field drain pipe. We calculated that we moved about 9 cubic yards of dirt by hand.

Mike and Pat shovel gravel for use under sidewalks and driveways we will be forming up and pouring this week. Most gravel was moved around the site using good old wheelbarrows.
