Whether you are searching for more about the Christian faith or are a long time Christian, you are invited to be a part of a Life Group. The Life Group ministry is based on the model of the Church in Acts 2, as “They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer… Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts.”

Calvary is committed to building Christian communities through Life Groups in the local church and surrounding communities. The ministry provides an environment for challenging one another, driving God’s Word deeply into our day to day lives.

Life Groups purpose is to find joy in the greatness of God’s glory, and to train, equip, and encourage fellow believers to reach the communities in which we live and grow together in Christ.

Life Groups is more than a Bible study. It is a community where we can seek and serve God by laughing, crying, working and playing together for the glory of God. We can enjoy barbecues, help a neighbor in need, provide meals for an ailing Life Group member, or feed the homeless in the community.

Typical Life Groups consist of 8-12 individuals that meet 2 to 3 times per month in a member’s home. Together they discuss Bible focused study topics and materials, directing the attention to what the Bible has to say on pertinent topics. As a group, they help and encourage each other to apply the truth to life.

Life Groups is not meant to be a substitute for attending church, but rather provide an opportunity for depth in your spiritual growth.
