The Prayer Shawl Ministry

Put aside a morning or an evening to gather with a group of giving women to make comfort shawls for those in our congregation who are ill or going through particularly stressful situations in life. We pray concertedly for the recipient of each shawl as we knit or crochet. The end result is that much prayer will be lifted up to God on behalf of each recipient.

If your heart throbs to this work, but you do not know how to knit or crochet, we will be happy to teach you the skills needed. You provide the time and effort, and we will even provide the materials!

Another way you can help is to donate funds to the purchase of yarn for each shawl which runs between $15 to $30 dollars. Please contact Phyllis Raad or Pastor Howard Duncan to do this, and make all checks to Calvary Memorial Church.

MEETING TIME: At the moment, we are meeting every Tuesday evening in Calvary's Legacy room from 7pm-9pm. Very shortly, another group will meet in the morning, also on Tuesdays. Please look for the annoucement of the start of the day group in the near future.
