I believe First Watch is a fantastic program because it calls
men at all points on their Journey with Christ. The morning
spent with food, fellowship, discussion, learning and prayer
is inspiring whether you are searching, a new believer, or
a life-long Christian.
For me, First Watch, is a challenge, first from God - to
turn to Him in all things and trust that He is my Father and,
second, a challenge from other men seeking a closer walk with
Jesus.
Even in the midst of more than a hundred men on a Thursday
morning, I can sit at a table with just six or eight other
guys and get personal with God. That gives my day hope and
meaning. It is very special to know that a small group of guys,
all sinners, can come together and, by the time they leave
for work, feel like they can tackle anything as long as God
is in control. I want that in my life. I want that in my son's
life and I feel like First Watch gives me not only the scripture
but also the nuts and bolts for applying my faith in order
to become a better father, a better husband and a better man.
