Why Do We Teach Sunday School?

"Nearly 85 percent of people who make a decision for Christ do so between the ages of 4 and 14.  Our greatest opportunity to lead a person to Jesus happens during the elementary years.  Which means the Sunday School is the most powerful tool the Church has to impact the life of a person for all of eternity.

What do children learn in Sunday School every week?

8:30 is our Play n' Praise hour

Children ages 3-5th grade will enjoy a time of singing to the Lord.  We introduce our children to worshipping God through song at an early age.  Kids naturally love to sing and we build on that to include singing about and to God. 3 yr olds-Kdg also has a time of free play during this hour. 

Sonshine Club Choir is for 1st-5th Graders and begins at 9:00.  This children's choir welcomes all abilities.  They occasionally sing in our worship services and put on a musical every Spring. 

10:00 is our main Sunday School hour

Children ages 2-5th grade enjoy fun-filled, Bible-based Sunday School lessons.  Children learn in age/grade level classes (See Below).  Our main focus is to teach the Bible, pure and simple, in contemporary and creative ways that will lay God's Word as the foundation of your kids' lives.  Follow this link to more info about our 2yrs-5th grade curriculum: GospelLight.com or to view the details that each child learns at  Gospel Light's Scope and Sequence.

11:30 is our Puppet Hour for Kdg and Under

Children ages 3-Kdg will join together and watch a puppet show that teaches a Bible and moral lesson. Children relate to the puppet characters and apply the lessons to their lives.  

We believe that worshipping as a family is a very important routine.  We encourage children 1st-5th grade to take this hour to sit together with their families in our 11:30 worship service.
