Aaron and Megan Barclay announce the birth of Justin David born on August 25. He weighed 9 lbs., 4 oz. and was 22 inches long. Proud grandparents are David and Soo Ai Kudo and Beth Barclay.

SONSHINE CLUB (A CHILDREN'S CHOIR) RESUMES
Back to school time means back to Sonshine Club (children entering grades 1 – 5.) Rehearsals will begin on Sunday, September 12, and are held every Sunday morning September through May from 9:00 – 9:45 a.m. in Room 11, located in the lower level of the church. (Parents who attend an 8:30 a.m. ABF can send their children to our rehearsal room beginning at 8:30, where they will be supervised until the start of Sonshine Club.)

POWER CONNECTION PARENTS
Power Connection, Calvary's middle school group for sixth, seventh and eighth graders, will be holding their parents’ meeting this Tuesday, August 31, 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Youth Room (third floor, West Wing). Meet and talk with Pastor Darin Weil as he goes over the coming year's events and activities. Even if you are familiar with Power Connection, plan to join us to learn more about this important ministry of the church and how your children can get involved, have fun and grow in their faith all at the same time!
PARENTS OF HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
If you have a new freshman this fall or if you have been involved with the high school for years this meeting is for you. Come discover all the new things happening in Calvary's high school program, meet the leaders and have your questions answered at a Parent Meeting on September 12 beginning at 6:00 p.m. We will be meeting in the Youth Room which is located on the third floor of the West Wing.
EVANGELISM EXPLOSION
Calvary’s Evangelism Explosion program will be starting Tuesday, September 14 at 7:00 p.m. Do you want to be trained to share your faith effectively with others? If interested contact John Tahl at 630.833.2123.
FINANCIAL PEACE UNIVERSITY
Starting on Wednesday, September 15, Calvary Memorial Church will be hosting a Financial Peace University class. F.P.U. is 13 week, Biblically-based course written and taught by Dave Ramsey that teaches practical steps for handling your money. A preview class will be held on Sunday, September 12 at 9:45 a.m. in the Parlor, 11:15 a.m. in Room 322 and 12:45 p.m. in the Parlor. Contact Nicko Sahlas for more information at 708.699.8627 or .

MEN’S BOWLING TO BEGIN
Calvary’s Men’s Bowling teams will begin play on Thursday, September 9, at the Brunswick Zone on River Road in River Grove.
