The elders continue to meet twice a month (the first and third Tuesdays), but in recent months the specific aim of those meetings has changed somewhat. On the first elders' meeting each month, the elders discuss vision for Calvary's future, philosophy of ministry, etc. as well as doing Bible study together on specific key topics (for example, one month we considered what the Bible has to say about church discipline). The second elders' gathering each month is a traditional elders' meeting, dealing with administrative, ministry, and personnel opportunities and issues.

You might wonder, how does the elder board's praying with individuals or families who request it fit it into all this? The elders are more than willing to entertain such prayer times at any of their meetings as well as at other prearranged or spontaneous times. The elders consider such prayer occasions one of their most important and valued privileges as leaders at Calvary.

The elders continue to have a sense of spiritual adventure as Calvary moves forward and seeks God's leading in the worship and service of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
