Nuova Vita Update

featured ministry

Over the next 12 months our partnership with Nuova Vita Church in Bologna, Italy will focus on the development of two main areas of ministry: Nuova Vita's Internship Program (http://www.insideitaly.org/internship) and Art Ministry.

Mark Brucato and Gian Luca Derudas, co-pastors at Nuova Vita, are casting a vision to plant 10 churches in 10 years in Italy. Their internship program, launched in 2016, will train and equip believers to be core team members for each new church plant.

Additionally, Jon and Erika Tello, Nuova Vita partners, recently moved to Bologna and are working to establish a ministry to artists by creating an art studio at the church.

As partners with Nuova Vita, here are ways that we at Calvary can be involved in these initiatives:

  1. Attend our "A Night in Italy" Dinner (Event has closed.)
On Monday June 26 at 7 PM we will be hosting a dinner at the Rieger's home (315 S Taylor, OP) to provide an overview of our partnership with Nuova Vita as well as details of the upcoming trips. This dinner is $10 per person (adults only). Make reservations for this dinner & pay online through the link at the bottom of the page.

  2. Join the Art Studio design/build team
Within the Ministry Center, space has been designated for an Art Studio. We are looking to recruit a team of skilled workers to help Nuova Vita renovate & build out that Art Studio. The build will take place in the Fall of 2017. (Proposed Dates: November 10 - 19, 2017)

  3. Participate in the 2018 Art Outreach Event
We plan to send a team of artists from Calvary to work in collaboration with Nuova Vita artists to facilitate an art outreach event in the Spring of 2018. (Dates TBD)

"I am very excited about how these ministry initiatives will not only build our relationship with our brothers and sisters in Christ in Bologna, Italy, but also deepen our faith in and love for Christ." (Pastor Jonny)
