Mere Creation

a Study of Genesis 1-2

“In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth...”

Genesis 1:1

“The doctrine of creation out of nothing takes its rise in rational contemplation of the unfathomable mystery of God's free work in which, on the basis of his love and goodness alone, he brought into being reality other than himself.”

John Webster

Series Overview

This Sunday begins our new series "Mere Creation", a verse-by-verse study of Genes 1-2. This series will address what Christians can affirm about God's world, regardless of their particular convictions about the faith-science or Christianity-evolution questions. Pastor Todd aims to define biblical and theological common ground, concerning the doctrine of creation, for our diverse body. He will offer solid ground to those who are anxious about how Christianity fares against the claims of contemporary science. And this series will call our congregation to higher ground...which you will discover what is meant by this as the series progresses.
