ABFs Discipleship Through Instruction
A robust knowledge of God’s Word, as well as the central doctrines of the Christian faith, is vital for living as an effective disciple of Jesus Christ. Adult Bible Fellowships (ABFs) are mid-size, learning-centered communities that focus on discipleship through doctrinal instruction.
Each ABF offers a rotation of teachers who teach on the Bible, doctrine, issues of Christian living, church history, ethics, the mission of the church in the world, and more. Each course is committed to helping believers integrate theology and life. ABFs are open to anyone; the listed age groupings simply reflect the primary attendees.
Childcare is available through our Children's Ministries. Student Bible Fellowships for middle school and high school students meet at 10:30AM on Sunday mornings.
June and July Summer ABF Topic:
All Adult Bible Fellowships will join together for June and July for Christianity Explored. Each session will meet in the Dining Room and will begin with a 20-minute video followed by teaching by different members of our Ministry Staff.
May ABF Topics:
An Astounding Drama
Laura Lange, Deaconess of Missions | Life Trainers | 9:00am | Dining Room (1st Floor - West Wing)
“The Bible is the astounding drama of God’s love drawing the worship of the nations. Jesus Christ represents the crescendo of the story of God’s glory” (Steven Hawthorne). Everyone has a story, marked along the way by key events. Did you know that your story is a part of God’s story? This series looks at the Biblical component of missions, presenting Scripture from Genesis to Revelation as a single story.
Life Trainers is a group of mostly 30's and 40's. Anyone is welcome to attend.
Arianism and Other Early Christian Sects
Edger Gamboa | Running the Journey | 9:00am | Parlor (1st Floor - West Wing)
As the church began to grow and develop in its infancy, many questions abounded about the Trinity. What kind of relationship did the Father and the Son have before creation? After Creation? Was the Son always subordinate to the Father? Were they coequal? These and other questions will be addressed as we look at Arianism and other early Christian sects.
Running the Journey is a group of mostly 50's and 60's. Anyone is welcome to attend.
The Acts of the Apostles
Dick Jahns | Friendship Class | 10:30am | Dining Room (1st Floor - West Wing)
We will complete our study of the book of Acts.
The Friendship Class is a group of mostly seniors. Anyone is welcome to attend.
Relating the Gospel
Pastor Keith Steiner | FaithBuilders | 10:30am | Parlor (1st Floor - West Wing)
Every disciple of Jesus Christ is called to be a disciple-maker. We will look at the definition of discipleship, and what it means to "relate the gospel" through four vital relationships in the Christian life.
Faith Builders is a group of mostly 40's and 50's. Anyone is welcome to attend.
